Aim For the Bushes? Aim For the Bushes.

The most useless product in the world would be speed limits.  I believe that speed limits are placed for our safety but the world has more to worry about than speed limits.  Texting and driving, driving while intoxicated, and other bodily malfunctions are more dangerous to drivers than a speeding car.  Sure there would be more racing and such but it isn’t a concern to the people because slow drivers really cause others, including myself, to have road rage.  Another large thing about speed limits is that it is another excuse for cops to pull over cars such as my Scion tC or Jake’s Nissan 350Z.  Even if we are going 5 miles above the speed limit like most drivers, cops WILL speed up to ride our bumper, pull us over, tell us that we are going 5 miles over the speed limit, and write us a ticket for doing  such.  Sports cars are a large target amongst speeding and not every owner of sports cars are reckless, ludicrous, and brainless.  If the owner of a sports car really loves their car, they wouldn’t be caught dead in an accident or racing some piece of junk off the road.  Since cops love to run right behind your bumper and read your plates, the speed limit is their law and if you go the speed limit or 5 over, they will NOT hesitate to pull you over.  It’s inefficient and the government should eliminate speed limits and allow cars to drive at an appropriate speed range.

  1. Woah Sura..You would talk about not having speed limits. They are made to keep crazy people who really fast cars, *cough Sura*cough Jake *cough, and losing control causing an accident. I do agree on the whole cop thing. I don't understand why there are driving laws set when police officers can just drive as they please. Sign says No U-Turn, Cop does a U-turn. Stop sign says Stop, Cop still goes. It really drives me nuts and I have always wandered if a cop can pull over another cop for reckless driving..that would be interesting.

  2. Sura, I see your point that there are more important things to worry about, but I do feel like speed limits are still important. By your logic, it wouldn't matter if someone robbed a bank, because hey, at least they didn't kill anyone! Just because a law doesn't seem as important as others doesn't mean it still shouldn't be enforced. I do agree that some speed limits are outrageous; anything under 25 is just absurd. However, speed limits do serve a purpose.

  3. I know exactly what you mean brother! And although I kind of agree with you...I kind of disagree with you. Don't get me wrong I would love to not have the boundries of speed limits while driving but on the other hand a lot more people would die in accidents. But not only the driver risking there own life, but they are risking the lifes of anyone with them in the car, plus the people they make contact with. so my conclusion is... just raise speed limits and loosly enforce them :) #Problem Solved.
