Synetics

Which is more difficult? a dream or a nightmare?
A dream is more difficult to conjure up because dreams are created by events of the previous day.  A nightmare is easily created by fears and a simple change in atmosphere affects the entire dream itself.

Which is wiser? a pen or pencil?
A pen is wiser because a pen is able to look back upon its mistakes and prevent them from continuously occurring.  A pencil is able to erase their mistakes and continue making the same mistakes as before like a giant restart button.  Plus, we have white out so if a pen mark needs to be fixed, it can be fixed.

Which is more fearful? new or old?
The old is more fearful because it detains us from the future and prevents efficiency.  The new things in life may seem scary but have the potential to reach new peaks created from imagination and dreams.

Which is more suspenseful? rain or snow?
Rain is more suspenseful because rain is portrayed as a dark day and emphasized with thunder and lightning to make the scenery more depressing.  Snow is viewed as innocence because of the color and the more childish activities that follow the portrait of snow.

Which is happier? music or art?
I believe that music is happiness because different songs evoke different emotions.  Art expresses one’s creativity but is not able to generate the idea of happiness as efficiently as music.

Which is like a promise? Mathematics or science?
Mathematics is most like a promise because math is the structure of life that science builds off of to relate two or more objects.  Chemistry, biology, pharmaceutical studies, and anything science related have similar qualities that branch away from mathematics.

Which is smarter? A clock or a calendar?
I believe that a calendar is smarter because the calendar can be used to predict the future.  For instance, the Mayans were able to create a calendar that predicted proper events that were precise and accurate.

Which is easier to teach? a question or an answer?
A question is easier to teach because a question may have multiple answers or multiple questions can lead to one answer.  By generating questions, it gives the people a deeper thought about the meaning of life.

Which costs more? a home or a house?
I believe a house costs more because it actually costs hard earned money that we work our rear ends for. A home can be created by simple dreams and the way that you make your house worth meaningful to yourself.

Which is more useful? a friend or an enemy?
An enemy is more useful because they allow you to see the weaknesses and opposing arguments that you do not see.  Friends are there for moral support and may not always be the most reliable source that you can depend upon.

Unfinished Sentences

1. I usually worry about completing my college assignments on time.  College does not push me to complete my assignments unlike high school and my mother thus; I normally worry about completing them on time.  Most of the time I spend in my online class, I leisure around and wait until the weekend to complete it.
2. I feel angry when my parents take away my rights of driving.  I pay for the gas and most of the car payments anyway so it should be my right to drive when I want to.  I hate taking the school bus because those darn ignorant middle schoolers that board the extended vehicle.
3. I’m moody when my girlfriend and I fight about the dumbest things.  It’s pretty difficult to make me publicly mad and she finds a way to really hurt my feelings.  April Fool’s is just one of the silly things that infuriated me.
4. I’m happiest when I am making the money that I aim for and see my bank account rise.  When I see the money, I realize that I can make myself happy by purchasing things for my Scion tC or myself. I do throw some money into my savings account out of every paycheck but I still like seeing a high number in my checking account.
5. I feel confident when I drink Bawls and have the encouragement of my friends to do the things I fear doing.  Such examples include asking a girl on a date, playing sports, going shopping, having a movie night together, or just a plain birthday party with their family.  Knowing that I have the energy drink, Bawls, just gives me a little kick and laugh about self-confidence which pushes me to do what I want to do.
6. I feel frustrated when people come into Mazzio’s and order a completely different item that is NOT our special of the day OR when people call or dine in at Mazzio’s 15-20 minutes before we close. After cleaning up all my dishes, wiping down the tables, sweeping and moping, they have to come in, order a pizza that will ruin all my hard work, and fall behind on the work schedule.
7. I feel depressed when I listen to sad songs on the internet.  Music is very inspirational to me and it greatly affects my current mood.  The last thing that people want to do is play sad music while I’m driving because it affects my driving by how slow I am driving, what I am thinking about, and other habits that I’m not supposed to do while driving.
8. I am comfortable when I am sitting at home with a PSP on my bed and a phone in my hands because I am not working that day and it’s my time to relax.  Work gives me a hard beating but the time I get to relax is amazing after work.  I feel almost invincible to anything and I feel good when I relax after a hard day of work.
9. I feel nervous when I kiss my girlfriend because there are times when I don’t have any idea on how to kiss her.  She may want to do this and then the next time she would want to try something entirely weird. There’s a lot of ways you can show your affection but kissing just downplays me and gets me nervous.
10. I feel sentimental when I am alone. Being alone gives me a lot of time to think about the things I am doing and differentiate between wrong and right. Personally when I am alone, I am an entirely different person than when you see me with my friends or family.

Sensory Experience

The first time I had my mother's egg rolls, I was about 4 years old.  I could remember the *SOUND of the sizzling vegetable oil that the fried the perfect egg rolls.  *SMELL: When my mother pulled out the egg rolls, the aura of egg rolls filled my nostrils with the rich and distinct aroma of egg rolls.  I can *FEEL it right now, the smooth and tough shell of the egg rolls within my hands.  The immense heat that I *SEE flowing out of its insides when I take the first bite is so delightful.  The combination of the sauce, noodles, ground beef and vegetables all working in harmony to create the perfect egg roll *TASTE.  There's nothing better in the world than my mother's egg rolls; besides plain Lo Min noodles.

Extended Metaphors

If I was a car, I would be a 2013 Scion tC because I love the kick that the car pushes and the money that I save since it takes unleaded gas. Premium gas costs a lot of money and by the way the economy light flashes on, it has the ability to let you know that you are saving gas.  For the 2nd generation model Scion tC, Toyota Company has allowed buyers to customize the car to their liking rather than having different sets of models for people to choose from.  My car is entirely customized for the looks, for the quality of the driving and music, and speed after the warranty has expired.  For a sporty car that costs less than $30,000, rated as the safest car in its class, and completely stock for endless customization, who wouldn’t want one?
If I was to be an animal, I would be a shark because I thoroughly enjoy ripping into my prey and eating them alive. Sharks are like the demons of the ocean and dominate anything that touches their domain.  You can take a lion or a tiger to the sea but they wouldn’t last a single minute against a shark.  On land, humans are one of the many legends on top of the food chain. Although machines are almost impossible for a shark to dismantle, I enjoy eating meat all the time and the comfort of water so a shark most likely describes my kind of habits.
If I were to be a comic character, I would be Sasuke Uchiha because I keep an open mind and can easily be persuaded by others leading me into the wrong paths.  Sasuke Uchiha can be found in the anime series, Naruto, which is very popular in the Asian community.  The reason why I compare myself with this character is because he works hard to achieve the things that he wants and is clueless about the truth.  Behind the lies that people tell him, his open mind keeps him astray from his friends and anyone who cares about him.  I also lust for the power that he portrays in the anime to defeat the enemies that come in his way; or in my case my path.

Symbolic Recipe

Full batch of Sura
1.        ⅜ cup of corny vocabulary
2.       1lb of happiness
3.       ¾ oz of depression
4.       8 oz of creativity
5.       1 ½ lb of sweet love
6.       ⅗ cup of acidic hunger
7.       2 lbs of imagination
8.       ¼ lb of sympathy
9.       ½ cup of oozing anger
10.   2 ½ oz of wisdom and knowledge
To correctly make the perfect sura, preheat on 98 degrees Celsius for 9 months.  In a 12 quart bowl, squeeze in the ⅜ cup of corny vocabulary with the 2lbs of imagination.  Thoroughly stir 8 oz of creativity with the mixture and take out another 12 quart bowl.  In the 2nd 12 quart bowl, add 1lb of happiness, ¾ oz of depression, 1 ½ lbs of sweet love, ¼ lb of sympathy, and ½ cup of oozing anger in that order.  Quickly dump the mixture of the 2nd 12 quart bowl into the 1st 12 quart bowl and stir with a wired whisk.  While stirring, add the ⅗ cup of acidic hunger until the color changes to a light yellow brown.  Throw in the oven for 30 minutes then cool it off for 5 minutes. Lastly, let it sit in the refrigerator for 3 three days and check for any fragile edging that may need tendering.

Make:  One human being called Sura Yang
